Two guys who avidly ride and ski big Western Canadian mountains during winter and windsurf the Canadian prairie lakes in the summers wanted to bring a new dimension to their day-to-day activities. Both guys began longboarding.
Quickly this became much more than just a new gimick. After a few seasons of longboarding, the influence of their big mountain riding and skiing produced a unique design and approach to longboarding. The Barley Board Company was born in the Fall of 2005.
After much trial and error and two years of research and development their first board, the Morning Wood, has turned into 96 inches of pure concrete surf soul.
